Mills scores pair of Top-10 outings with Spring Nationals and Southern Thunder

Trey Mills began his weekend in the Volunteer State as he joined a 40-car field at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Friday night for the $10,053-to-win Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals event.

Qualifying eighth-fastest in his group, Mills grabbed the final transfer spot in his heat and earned a spot in the 53-lap main event. Trey charged forward to a Top-10 finish in ninth.

Making the long haul to Florida overnight, Trey made a start with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series at Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) on Saturday.

Starting fifth in the $10,000-to-win feature, Mills suffered a flat late in the 50-lapper but recovered to finish just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
