Mills seventh in Mark Fields Memorial opener at Thunderhill Raceway Park

Debuting a brand-new Black Diamond Chassis over the weekend, Trey Mills followed the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series to Thunderhill Raceway Park (Summertown, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon for the two-day Mark Fields Memorial.

With a stout 36-car field on hand for the $5,000-to-win opener, Mills laid down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group which automatically locked him into the A-Main. Starting on the second-row, Trey fell back a few spots to finish seventh after 30 laps.

For Saturday's $15,000-to-win finale, Trey struggled to find speed and took a provisional for the 50-lap feature where he would wind up 22nd.

Trey is currently seventh in the HTFSDS point standings.
