Mills scores back-to-back podiums at Talladega Short Track with Southern Thunder
Trey Mills made his way out to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Friday afternoon to kick off a doubleheader weekend with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series in the $5,038-to-win Jerry Goodwin Challenge.
Mills put down the third-quickest lap in his qualifying group and locked himself into the 40-lap feature event. Trey made up four spots to land on the podium in second. Zack Mitchell picked up the win while Dalton Cook completed the Top-3.
On Saturday, Trey raced his way into the $10,097-to-win Red Farmer Tribute with a heat race win and started on the second-row. Mills ran third in the 50-lap feature event and landed on the podium for the second night in a row.
