Trey Mills closes out Hell Tour run with four podium finishes during final week of Summer Nationals
Closing out the Hell Tour, Trey Mills followed the DIRTcar Summer Nationals across Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio for the fifth and final week of the minitour.
Trey kicked off Northeast week with a pair of runner-up finishes at Shadyhill Speedway (Medaryville, Ind.) and Montpelier (Ind.) Motor Speedway. He finished runner-up to Zack Mitchell on Tuesday and charged to the front late on Wednesday to finish second behind Cody Overton.
Trey was once again on the podium on Thursday as he ran third in the $5,000-to-win show at Butler Speedway (Quincy, Mich.) behind Mark Whitener and Cody Overton.
Heading into the weekend, Mills finished seventh at Crystal (Mich.) Motor Speedway on Friday before finishing runner-up to Zack Mitchell once again on Saturday evening at Oakshade Raceway (Wausen, Ohio) in the $10,000-to-win Birthday Race.
Trey finished the grueling five-week tour at Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio) and grabbed one last Top-10 finish in 10th.
Trey recorded his best points outing of the tour and finished second in the week five point standings. In the overall standings, Mills wound up fifth.
