Podium finish with Spring Nationals at Swainsboro Raceway
With Speedweeks in the rear view mirror, Trey Mills unloaded his newly-wrapped No. 14JR at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the first of two events with the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals.
With a stout 30-car field on hand, Mills put down the third-quickest lap in his qualifying group which locked him into the 40-lap main event. Trey started from the fourth-row and made a late charge into the Top-5 before sneaking onto the podium. He trailed Chris Madden and Wil Herrington while Ethan Dotson and Dalton Cook completed the Top-5.
With $10,053 on the line at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway, Trey grabbed a transfer spot in his heat race and finished sixth on a rubbered up racetrack in the 53-lap feature.
