Trey Mills locks himself into Alabama Gang 100 with World of Outlaws at Talladega
Joining the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series on Friday afternoon, Trey Mills was one of 48 entries at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the Alabama Gang 100.
Laying down the second-fastest lap in his stacked qualifying group, Mills earned the outside pole in the first $4,000-to-win preliminary feature. In the quick 25-lap race, Trey gave up one spot on the initial start but steadied to finish on the podium in third and secure his spot in tomorrow's main event.
With the $35,000-to-win showdown slated for Saturday, Trey pulled the No. 1 in the redraw to start on the pole of Alabama Gang 100. Unfortunately, just prior to taking the green flag, a heavy rain shower descended upon the racetrack which postponed the event to September 15th.
