Trey Mills races into first-career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature at All-Tech
Trey Mills returned to Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition on Friday afternoon at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the Winter Nationals.
With the track rubbering up in qualifying, Mills was unable to clock in a decent lap and finished eighth in his heat. Needing at least a runner-up finish to transfer to the A-Main, Trey finished 13th.
For Saturday's $15,000-to-win finale, Trey clocked in 10th-fastest in qualifying and finished sixth in his heat race which placed him in a B-Main. Nabbing the final transfer position, Mills earned his first-career start in a Lucas Oil event. Trey went on to record a 23rd-place outing.
